President on Tuesday appointed housing official Bill Pulte, who has been instrumental in fueling the president’s campaign for retribution, as the acting director of national intelligence.

In a post on Truth Social announcing this appointment, referenced Pulte’s contributions, highlighting his “deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago.”

From his position at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Pulte significantly influenced the to take on some of its most remarkable cases against the President’s personal adversaries. However, he has shown limited experience in national security matters.
He directed the investigation of Attorney General Letitia James, Representative , Senator Adam Schiff, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis — all Democrats who have confronted Trump — to the department for inquiries into mortgage fraud.
He also mentioned Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook in relation to similar fraud allegations.
All five individuals have refuted Pulte’s claims, and only the investigation concerning James led to charges, which were subsequently dismissed by a federal judge.
