Rahul Gandhi’s fitness mantra
Off late, Rahul Gandhi has been answering some burning questions about himself through Instagram’s Ask Me Anything sessions. ‘Students, Gen Z, ask me anything and I will reply to as many questions,’ read his post. Needless to mention, the 56-year-old has been actively sharing anecdotes, offering glimpses of his personal life.
In one such session, an individual requested Rahul Gandhi to share his fitness routine and the Congress leader shared his mantra. ‘The thing about fitness that is important is not really the routine you follow. It is being persistent, doing it continuously and allowing it to compound,’ advised Rahul Gandhi, adding that he likes doing ‘a little bit of martial arts, swimming and running.’

Apart from that, Rahul Gandhi admitted that he has recently found a fondness towards . ‘It is part of my work life to do 1 hour of building strength, building aerobic capacity, building flexibility. So it is not something I do in my free time; it is something that I make time for regardless of what happens. If I have to do it at 11 at night, I will do it at 11 at night,’ he noted.
In conclusion, Rahul Gandhi also delivered a piece of advice to Gen Z. He pointed out that fitness only works for the body and overall health if an individual is eating clean, avoiding ‘snacking all the time’ and abstaining from ‘drinking a lot of alcohol’. ‘It only works if you take it as a composite thing; if you are thinking about it as a balance,’ were his final words.

Over weeks, Instagram has emerged as a key political messaging platform among the political leaders, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading a coordinated push to interact with Gen Z, joined by several Union ministers and ruling party leaders. On the occasion of National Handloom Day yesterday, August 7, Modi even urged Gen Z to share their GRWM (Get Ready With Me) videos on Instagram, wearing traditional handloom outfits, giving a nod to the viral internet trend.
