Verizon customers across the United States are reporting widespread cell service disruptions, leaving thousands without phone connectivity.

According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, outage reports began coming in around 3:50 p.m. EDT on Saturday.
By 4:10 p.m., Downdetector had received more than 8,000 reports, with most customers reporting issues with calling services.
Customers across the country, including in New York, California, Washington and Pennsylvania, reported experiencing service disruptions.
‘We are done’
Several frustrated customers took to X (formerly Twitter) to report the outage.
One user asked, “Is anyone else not having phone calls go through? I try to call my mom and brother and it never connects to ring. Mom tried to call me and Wil and it won’t connect to ring. We have iPhones on Verizon.”
Another added, “I live in ronkonkoma ny and 5 people here, all with Verizon, cant make or receive a call… on wifi or not on wifi.”
A third user wrote, “So I can’t call out to my family who’s been trying to reach me. That’s not cool.”
Another customer expressed, “Verizon have the most anoying and neglected costumer service in the history of costumer service. What a shame!”
One user wrote, “Why will my iPhone 16 Pro on the Verizon Network not able to make a phone call??? Is it true some Verizon customers are not able to make phone calls right now??? Please explain! Do I need to switch to T-Mobile or AT&T for BETTER SERVICE?”
One more customer expressed, “Another outage. I am so done with this.”
